Battlefield 2042 is a multiplayer shooter that marks the
return of the series' iconic Total War. Here, players are thrown into a near
future where the world is on the brink. There are massive food and energy
shortages and dozens of nations have failed, causing the largest refugee crisis
in history. In the midst of all this, the United States and Russia are dragging
the world into all-out war.
Players take on the role of a non-state specialist, or
No-Pat, who can join either the US or Russia. However, you are not fighting for
the flag, but for the future of the Non-Pats. They also have fully customizable
loadouts. In addition, they will have access to the most modern weapons,
equipment and vehicles.
Battlefield 2042 features a new Total War mode that takes the
fan-favorite Conquest and Breakthrough modes to a new level. It features the
largest map and can support up to 128 players. It also boasts dynamic weather,
environmental hazards, and other spectacular natural destruction. In addition
to Total War, there's also Hazard Zone, a team mode that's a modern take on the
franchise's multiplayer mode.
